HF762 - In the land of the blind...
Trådtittelen er et gammelt ordtak, "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king", som blant annet er tillagt Erasmus av Rotterdam, fra hans Adagia, utgitt i år 1500. En variant er brukt i novellen The Country of the Blind av H. G. Wells fra 1904. Andre varianter av ordtaket er å finne helt tilbake til Bibelen.
Senere forfattere har kommet opp med mange variasjoner over dette temaet:
